Rubber Plant Ficus Elastica

Ficus elastica is straight growing centrally stemmed plant. It has a dark green or dark red oblong shaped leaves, up to 15 inches (35 cm) long, grow at a 35 degree angle to the main stem. Rubber plants are good for interior living areas and will grow even under low light conditions.

It has a high tolerance for drought, but prefers humidity and thrives in wet, tropical conditions naturally, this sturdiness makes it an ideal indoor plant.

Maintenance
Brind outdooors during summer. Does not like draughts in the office too much.
Water moderately, increasing in summer and decreasing in winter. Many Ficus are very tolerant of being over or under watered, which makes them ideal for beginners.
Ficus likes a daily misting to maintain humidity.
